| Typically, dinnerware is handled by the tabletop segment of the design world, rife with pattern designers and artisans. Industrial designers, in the traditional sense, generally steer clear of this work. Though we are very knowledgeable in complex engineering and progressive materials, at our core, industrial designers are sculptors. Some of us at A2 have been chiseling soap stone, rolling Sculpey, and, of course, squashing Play-doh, all of our lives. This is why Nambe looks to mainly A2 to develop their dinnerware offerings. |
